We pride ourselves, in "digging up" authentic ghost stories. Some stories are passed down orally through folklore and become legends, but we strive to determine if they are factual and based on real life events. We have spent countless hours compiling our ghost stories to be able to tell you authentic and true stories. Our research is a compilation of historical documentation from the archives at the Glenbow, U of C, Genealogy organizations, Calgary Library, Eye Witness accounts, interviews, and our very own psychic.
Yes, we recommend 10 and over. While we love telling ghost stories to all ages, unpredictable events may take place during the ghost hunting portion of our evening. If beliefs surrounding the dead, ghosts, hauntings and spirits that have departed in unfortunate accidents and suicide are too disturbing, then you may want to refrain from taking the Public tour, and book a Private tour which can be tailored to exactly the scare level you desire . We do not have any "jump scares" but the above concepts will be discussed. Viewer discretion is advised.
Please meet us by the main doors of Fort Calgary. Fort Calgary is located at 750 - 9th Avenue S.E. Calgary, Alberta T2G 5E1. We will start on time, so please make sure you are there five minutes before your tour's start time.
If you are late, we will be at Fort Calgary for a few minutes but we suggest, if you are running 15-20 minutes late, catch up with us at the Deane House, located at 806 - 9th Avenue S.E. Refunds will not be issued for missing the tour.
Please reach us at ghostgurusyyc@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We will make every effort to accommodate your request, however, we can not guarantee that there will be room available at the time of departure. It is advisable to purchase tickets in advance to ensure a place on our tour.
We begin our tour at the front doors of Fort Calgary. Currently there is free parking at Fort Calgary, ( it looks like the construction fence is blocking the entrance, but at the end of the fencing, there is a spot to pull into the parking lot.) There is paid parking at the Deane house, as well there is free street parking all along the streets of Inglewood after 6 p.m. In addition there is a paid parking lot off of 10th Street and 9th Avenue S.E.
Everyone sees, hears and experiences events differently. It's often left up to personal interpretation but here's what we know: you can capture an EVP electronic voice phenomenon on a tape recorder, or any other digital recording device. You may capture an image on video or photographic evidence on a cell phone. You will also witness the evidence we may capture on our equipment.
We will absolutely refund or reschedule your tour if we cancel for any reason. If you cancel, we will not issue a refund, but if you need to reschedule we would be happy to help you find a different date that works. You must give us 24 hours to reschedule.
